Then there are those times where he is an angel, and unbelievably cute. It's those times that I think, "It's all worth it."
Last night the family had dinner at PF Changs. We weren't sure how Liam would do since he only took a 20 minute afternoon nap when he usually sleeps an hour or more, but decided to venture out anyway. Thankfully, the lack of sleep didn't seem to phase Liam and he was on his best behavior. He quietly sat through dinner while playing with his toy, "Mr. Lion." We even gave him a couple other items for his, but mostly our entertainment :)

My advice to parents of new and old. Take chances. Yes, there may be a meltdown, but you may also have a fun and pleasant experience. Like I told Brent, "If he doesn't cooperate, we can always have the meal boxed up, and eat it at home."

that lettuce on his little head is SO cute! haha.
ReplyDeleteI think it was my mom-in-law that said something to the effect of it being a normal part of healthy development when Kai started to act independent + opinionated. I remind myself when he's being particularly difficult that we'd have a lot more to worry about if he wasn't exhibiting such behavior.
Oh goodness! He's just too cute.
