My cold just won't die, and today it seems to have taken a turn back for the worse. Also, Liam has come down with the same cold. Each night he has a fever, and has trouble sleeping due to all the coughing. Thankfully, he's fever is gone during the day, but he's still afflicted with the same cough I've had for the past week and a half.
Yesterday, Brent tripped on a curb while running to catch the Max. No one stopped to see if he needed help, but thankfully he was able to hop back to the car and drive home. Initially, Brent was afraid his ankle was broken. However, after seeing the doctor, it was determined he has a second degree sprain. It will take 2-8 weeks to heal, but thankfully isn't broken. Brent's on crutches this week, and has to stay completely off his left ankle. Next week he can start putting a little weight on the foot.
Brent's back to work today, but he won't be able to do any of his regular work since it's so physical. Instead he'll be given some light duty tasks. We're praying he heals quickly, and that his employer will be able to find plenty work for him to do while he heals.
I'm grateful Liam and I have no where to be today. We're going to spend the day drinking plenty of fluids and watching movies. Hopefully, all three of us will see improvements in our health tomorrow.
