I'm sorry my last post was a bit of a downer. We all have those kinds of days. Today, however, was fabulous. This was the first Easter Liam has been able to participate in Easter activities. Saturday he put "Cars" stickers on eggs after his daddy dyed them, then we read him the Easter story before bed. Come Sunday morning, Liam got to check out what the Easter bunny left for him.
| It's tradition in Brent's family for the Easter bunny to spell out the child's name in jelly beans. |
| It was hard getting Liam interested in his toys and then hunting for eggs after he started eating the candy :) He very rarely gets candy. |
| With some guidance, Liam was able to find all the eggs. |
| Initially, we had Liam carrying the basket for eggs, but they kept falling out. We moved to keeping the basket stationary on the floor. |
| After church, we headed to Brent's aunt and uncle's house for Easter dinner and a day with family. |
| Those are smiling fingers in case you're wondering. Aunt Julie was trying to show Liam how to smile with her fingers, and Liam tried to copy the finger placement :) |
As much fun as the eggs, candy, food, and family is. The best part of Easter is knowing our savior is alive. It's because of his death and resurrection, that we get to spend eternity with our God and creator. Thank you Jesus for creating a way, through you, to our Father.
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
John 14:6
